Strain

A strain is either a natural or an artificial variety of the cannabis plant. While each specific strain has its own set of unique genetic characteristics, they are all based on either Indica, Sativa, Ruderalis or a combination of these original cannabis strains.

New strains with often exotic names are developed by professional breeders worldwide to enhance specific qualities in the plant, like weather tolerance, size, yield, THC or CBD contents.
