Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids are the various natural components found in the cannabis plant that are the source of the many medical and psychoactive effects of cannabis. Around one hundred of these active chemical substances are known to be unique to the cannabis plant.

Cannabinoids are separated into subclasses, which can each affect certain areas of the brain to interact with. These include:

CBD - Cannabidiol: Non-psychoactive, has many medical benefits like cancer and seizure prevention, pain relief, anti-inflammatory qualities etc.

CBC - Cannabichromene: Non-psychoactive, medical benefits might include pain relief
and nerve cell growth.

CBG - Cannabigerol: Non-psychoactive, medical benefits might include cancer prevention.

CBN - Cannabinol: Psychoactive, medical benefits relating to insomnia and spasm prevention.

THC - Tetrahydrocannabinol: Psychoactive, main active chemical component of cannabis that causes a 'high' and boosts imagination and perception. Medical benefits for immune system, nausea and pain relief.
